Why Henry's Island Fisheries Department area has become so popular around the world. I will talk about it in detail. On other web sites, it's just a matter of photos and a day or two of traveling. Here you will find the whole information maybe a little bigger but read the whole. That's because I'm a resident of the area and an employee of Henry's Island Fisheries Project.

The Henry Island fisheries department is located next to the village of Bijaybati in the South 24 Parganas district of the state of West Bengal. It is located 140 km from Kolkata and 4 km from Bakkhali. This fisheries department is very charming and quite dear.

What's there to see?

Henry's Island fisheries department is a large island of 100 hectares.

There are different types of desi fish 

(Pona, Katla, Tilapia, Pangas, Tangra, Chital, Vhetki, Bhangan, Galda, Bagda). Foreign (Kobia, Venami, Pompino, Vietnam Koi) fish are farmed.

The project has two vehicles to sell these fish. This department is the Government of West Bengal Undertaking. Henry Island Fisheries Project under State Fisheries Development Corporation Limited. Whose head office is Bikash Bhavan.

 Such a big project has been divided into two sectors. Sector 'A' & Sector 'B'. This project includes different species of colorful birds. In winter, a large number of species of migratory birds are angina. You will actually see the fish netting, feeding. Different types of flowering plants.

The two sectors together have 70 large lakes for cultivating different types of fish. The lakes are as big as 13 to 19 hectares.

These lakes have paddle boarding facilities.

There are restaurants and Kali Mata temple. If you want to eat the fish shot above.

This restaurant will cook in an hour if ordered. Also, all other types of menus are available here. If you want you can buy all these fish from the fish Center.

There is parsley with ice.

The project is surrounded by a variety of mangrove plants (Gewa, Garan, Bani, Hetal, and Sundari).

The forest is home to deer, wild boar, monkeys, and a variety of birds. There are lodges to stay in these two sectors. Mangrove Tourist Complex in Sector A and Sundari Tourist Complex in Sector B. These lodges are named after Sundarbans trees (Bani, Hetal, Goran).

You have to pay an entry fee to enter the Henry's Island fisheries project. On various occasions 25th December, Fast January, Republic Day, Independence Day, a large number of tourists arrive. The highest number of tourists comes from December to February. Here the car line at the ticket counter is about 100 meters.
